She no longer has a show on network television. She does "own" her own network which has yet to take off. But still, when Lance Armstrong was ready to come clean, he chose Oprah Winfrey.
After years of bitter and forceful denials, he offered a simple ''I'm sorry'' to friends and colleagues and then reportedly admitted he used performance-enhancing drugs during an extraordinary cycling career that included seven Tour de France victories.
The show was taped yesterday and many news reports have leaked indicating that Armstrong confessed to doping during the interview with Oprah Winfrey. He did so yesterday just a couple of hours after an emotional apology to the staff at the Livestrong charity he founded and was later forced to surrender. The interview is to be broadcast Thursday on Winfrey's network. So I guess the question now is, will you watch it? Or do you even care anymore about the performance enhancing drug issue that is not only in cycling but in all sports?
