Many Women Feel Pressured To Go "Green"
Many women feel it's their responsibility to preserve the planet. Just over half of the women taking part in a new Clorox Green Works poll think it's now the "in" thing to be environmentally conscious, and they most often feel judged whenever they stray from the "green" path. In addition, 39-percent say they feel the most pressure to lead a "green" lifestyle. By comparison, just 29-percent say they feel more pressured to be thin. A number of women add that they get more pressure over being "green" than they do about their relationship or their children. But despite the pressure, 59-percent admit that their lifestyle dictates their "green" behavior, and they "introduce environmentally friendly practices only when it is practical" for them to do so. And a big factor in making "green" products practical is price. For 63-percent "affordability" determines whether they'll buy a "green" product.
