>>Mariners finally don't lose
Ok so they had the day off. The Seattle Mariners host the Texas Rangers for three games starting tonight. Joe Saunders toes the rubber for the M's against Justin Grimm of Texas. Felix Hernandez gets the call on Saturday while Hisashi Iwakuma throws in the finale on Sunday.
>>Catcher Montero Sent South
Let the sell off begin. 2 weeks ago several of us fans were talking about adding for a push after the All-Star break. A 6 game losing streak later we are back to focusing on the Seahawks in training. The Seattle Mariners have sent catcher Jesus Montero to Triple-A Tacoma. He is hitting .208 with three home runs and nine RBI this season. A corresponding roster move will be made today. The Mariners will likely call up Jesus Sucre from Tacoma. He will serve as the backup catcher to Kelly Shoppach.
>>GU on the ropes

I've said all along that they have the resume to move onto the NCAA tournament no matter what. But a two an out at the WCC tournament would be tough to swallow. The Dons beat the WCC Co-Player of the Year Marco GonzalesGU dropped its sixth consecutive game and moves to 32-20-1 overall. The Dons improved to 33-21.
