>>Spokane Breaks Through
The Spokane Indians got the first win of the season with a 10-1 cruching of Vancouver in Canada. Spokane had 13 hits and went 6-13 with runners in scoring position. Cam Schiller, Ryan Cordell and Janluis Castro each had 2 hits. Schiller knocked in 3 runs.
>>Angels Rout Mariners
Time for a change. I like the manager and the potential of SOME of the players but that front office is not getting it done. Another yawner last night as Albert Pujols' RBI double sparked a seven-run sixth as the Angels rolled to an 11-3 win over the Mariners in Anaheim. Nick Franklin, who possible wears the biggest helmet in baseball, had Seattle's only big hit. He connected on a two-run homer for Seattle, which has dropped three of its last five. Aaron Harang allowed four runs on 12 hits in five innings to suffer the loss.
>>Mariners At Angels
The Mariners try to end a two-game losing streak tonight in Los Angeles when they face the Angels. It is the second meeting of a four-game series. Seattle sends Jeremy Bonderman to the mound. LA counters with Joe Blanton, who is 1-and-10.
>>Trouble "BRUIN" for Chicacgo
Tuukka Rask stopped all 28 shots he faced to lead the Boston Bruins in a 2-0 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks in Game Three of the Stanley Cup Final. Rask's third shutout of the postseason gives Boston a two games to one lead in the best-of-seven set. Daniel Pailleand Patrice Bergeron each lit the lamp in the second period for the Bruins, who host Game Four on Wednesday. Corey Crawford turned away 33 shots for 'Hawks in defeat. Chicago was without right wing Marian Hossa, who was scratched after warmups with an upper-body injury.
>>Spurs Look To Finish Off Heat In Game Six
I would actually expect Miami to blow out SA tonight. I still think the Spurs win it in Miami in 7. Becoming the first team since the 1978 Wasington Bullets to win a game 7 on the road. They actually beat the Seattle Supersonics in Seattle. The Sonics of course got revenge with a championship the next year. Yes kids there was a championship team in Seattle. Will there be a 5th one in San Anotnio? The NBA Finals heads back to South Beach where the Miami Heat are in a must-win situation as they host the San Antonio Spurs in Game Six tonight. Manu Ginobili racked up 24 points and 10 assists to lead the Spurs to a 114-104 victory in Game Five on Sunday. After splitting the first two games in Miami, the Spurs took two-of-three at home to grab a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven set. San Antonio is seeking its fifth NBA title in franchise history, but first since 2007. If necessary, a decisive Game Seven would be Thursday in Miami.
