Today is the day for the city of Glendale, Arizona to make a decision on whether or not hockey will continue to be played in the Valley of the Sun. The NHL says Quebec City could also land the franchise if it is forced to move.
>Mariners Face Rangers In Texas
The Mariners are in Texas to start a three-game series with the Rangers tonight. Seattle lost two out of three to the Cubs at home over the weekend. The M's send southpaw Joe Saunders to the hill against Texas' Justin Grimm tonight.
>>No Mariners In Running For ASG Start
There are still no Mariners competing for a starting spot in this year's All-Star Game. And there should not be. King Feliz of course will end up being there. That's a no-brainer. But as far as position players, no one should be. After yesterday's final voting update, not one position features a member of the M's. Seattle will rely on American League manager Jim Leyland to choose a player. A National League voting update is expected today. Voting will conclude on Thursday with the rosters to be revealed Saturday.
