Saunders gave up one run on six hits in seven innings on the bump for Seattle, which took two of three in its first-ever visit to Great American Ballpark. Tom Wilhelmsen earned his 18th save.

The Boston Red Sox are in town starting tonight to face the Mariners at Safeco Field. Boston leads the AL East Division at 54-and-36 despite a loss to the Los Angeles Angels Sunday night. The Mariners will send their two All-Star pitchers, Felix Hernandez and Hisashi Iwakuma, to the mound tonight and tomorrow.

BOSTON (AP) - The Boston Celtics have signed 7-footer Kelly Olynyk, their first-round draft choice. The Celtics traded up in last month's draft to pick Olynyk with the 13th overall selection. Olynyk made his summer league debut on Sunday and scored 25 points in the Celtics' 95-88 loss to the Houston Rockets. Celtics general manager Danny Ainge sent the No. 16 pick and two future second-rounders to the Dallas Mavericks to get Olynyk, who was fifth in voting for the Wooden Award. Olynyk averaged 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds while leading Gonzaga to a 32-3 season.
